Day Yi
Club Advisor
Professor Day has been with the Applied Analytics program since 2017, teaching numerous courses, but mostly APAN 5310 and APAN 5900. He has also taught many workshops through the APAN Club. He had spent 12 years as an actuary with various insurance companies. This led to a transition into the data analytics consulting space. Now, he is a full-time lecturer at Princeton University, teaching courses in data science. He is also a gourmet chef, earning 5-star ratings for his recipe of Korean BBQ!

Benjamin Kinsella
Club Advisor
Benjamin Kinsella is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in academia, foundations, and startups. He is currently a member of OpenAI’s Human Data team where he supports model training and safety preparedness initiatives at the company. Previously, he was an early employee at Tribe AI, a modern AI consultancy. He oversaw product and operations, and led the company through its initial raise. He has consulted with nonprofits, foundations, and mission driven organizations. In 2020, he led data.org’s $10M Inclusive Growth and Recovery Challenge in collaboration with The Rockefeller Foundation and Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. Benjamin is passionate about education and currently lectures at Columbia University.

Haochen Huang (Frank)
VP / VP of Marketing
Haochen (Frank) Huang is a Master’s student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. Originally from Hebei, China, Frank earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing and Operations Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has gained hands-on experience across industries, having interned in the beverage, dairy, and sports media sectors, with a focus on market analysis, event planning, and social media strategy. As the Vice President of the APAN Club and VP of Marketing, Frank plays a central role in shaping the club’s branding, leading cross-functional initiatives, and strengthening the bridge between students, alumni, and the industry. Outside of academics, Frank enjoys exploring New York City’s food scene, going to concerts, and discovering hidden gems around the city.

Chenxi Yin (Dianna)
VP of Alumni Relations
Chenxi (Diana) Yin graduated from Warwick Business School in Uk, majoring in Bsc management. She is pursing Applied Analytics at Columbia university. Chenxi Yin is an experienced data analyst and investment banking intern with expertise in S&OP, demand forecasting, and financial modeling. She is a big fan of watching movies and going to the concerts.

Sally Park
VP of Finance
Sally is a master's student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. After earning her degree in Economics and Mathematics at NYU, she worked in the advertising industry, where she was introduced to data analytics and found her passion to pursue her career in the intersection between AI, data, and marketing. She loves to travel, play tennis/pickleball, and is always looking to try new restaurants and bars in New York (although she's been here for 12 years).

Emma Akue
VP of Business Development
.Emma is a master's student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. Her background is in biotechnology and psychology, which she studied at the University of Ottawa in Canada. Her experience has primarily been in the startup world, where she utilizes both her analytical and creative skills. Alongside her academic journey, she also enjoys volunteering with various non-profit organizations in the city, focusing on public policy, politics, and fundraising.

Jingxi Liu (Cici)
VP of Event
Cici is a master’s student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. With a background in Economics from the University of Manchester and experience across consulting, digital strategy, and data analytics, she brings a unique blend of creativity and critical thinking to every project. As the VP of events of APAN Club, she enjoys connecting the Columbia community through events and collaborative opportunities. Outside of academics, Cici loves capturing moments on her film camera, exploring NYC’s food scene, and enjoying concerts and Broadway musicals.

Myat Hein
VP of Business Research
Myat Hein is a master's student in the Applied Analytics program at Columbia University and currently serves as the VP of Business Research for the APAN Club. In this role, he focuses on using data to drive engagement by analyzing club events, tracking social media performance, and identifying new opportunities to connect with the Columbia community. A lifelong New Yorker, Myat earned his bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Hunter College (CUNY) and attended the High School for Math, Science and Engineering (HSMSE), one of New York City's specialized high schools. He currently works at Columbia University as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, where he supports data driven decision making through reporting, visualization, and strategic insights. Outside of work and academics, Myat enjoys playing pickleball, going to the gym, spending time with his girlfriend and close friends, and solving escape rooms with a perfect 16 for 16 record. He also enjoys watching movies, especially horror, action, and sci-fi, and is a fan of reality TV shows like The Ultimatum, Love is Blind, and Love Island. He is eager to keep learning how data can solve real world problems, tell meaningful stories, and drive impact in the evolving field of data science. He is always looking forward to connecting with others and building meaningful relationships across the Columbia community.

Dhruv Shah
AVP of Finance
Originally from India, Dhruv Shah is a Master's student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University, where he serves as the Assistant Vice President of Finance for the Applied Analytics Club. As a partly qualified actuary, Dhruv has gained valuable experience working with Cigna Group and Gallagher in their corporate actuarial teams. He holds an undergraduate degree with a major in Finance and Management, and his passion lies in insurance innovations, particularly in Reinsurance and Catastrophic Modeling. Beyond academics, Dhruv is an avid adventurer who enjoys hiking, engaging in extreme sports, and watching movies. He’s always up for tea sessions with peers, diving into discussions on politics, sports, and global socio-economic issues.

Pallavi Gudipati
AVP of Business Research
Pallavi is a master’s student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University, with a background in Computer Science and two years of experience in software engineering. At Thomson Reuters, she contributed to impactful projects that enhanced efficiency through automation and user-centric solutions. She is passionate about product strategy and analytics. Outside of academics, you’ll likely find her exploring the NYC or sampling new flavors of bubble tea!

Haoxiang Huo (Steven)
AVP of Business Development
Steven is a Master student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University, currently serving as AVP for the Business Development team for APAN Club. He came from Beijing of China, while studying at U.S. since 2014. He is one of Boston University Alumni with a Math + Computer Science background. Working as a SDE and Data guy in last 3 years at Tech industry (China and U.S.), he is the type of person who can design cloud architecture in the morning, decode customer insights in the afternoon, and break down anime character growth arcs over dinner. With a technical foundation in Software engineering (AWS, Java/Go, SQL, Python, R, etc) and hands-on experience in marketing analytics & business strategy, he enjoys operating at the intersection of Software, AI Agent, Data, Technology, and Storytelling. His curiosity drives himselves to explore not only systems and models, but also human behaviors, product narratives, and market shifts. He loves building things that make sense technically and feel right for users.

Margareth Felicia Gono (Felicia)
AVP of Business Development
.Originally from Jakarta, Felicia Gono is now a Master’s student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University, following her time at NYU where she studied Marketing and earned a Dean’s Scholarship. She’s worked across data visualization at FOX Business, strategy consulting at EY-Parthenon, and insights analytics at Apple. At Columbia, she serves as AVP of Business Development for the Applied Analytics Club, leading outreach efforts. She’s driven by curiosity, obsessed with good storytelling--whether in data, film, or literature--and always eager to try a new dish.

Leotong Fang (Felicity)
AVP of Event
r.Letong Fang (Felicity) is a Master’s student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. Originally from Guangdong China, she has experience in data strategy, business analytics, and event coordination. At Columbia, she serves as AVP of Events for the Applied Analytics Club, where she helps plan and manage events that bring students together and strengthen the program’s community. She is passionate about technology-driven innovation, cultural connection, and student engagement. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, exploring new cuisines, and listening to Cantonese music.

Alessia Laziosi
AVP of Event
Alessia Laziosi is a Master’s student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. Originally from Italy, she has a background in Business Administration and Innovation & Technology Management. She has experience in consulting, data strategy, and event management through roles at PwC, Accenture, and five years volunteering with Brescia Basketball in Italy’s Serie A league. At Columbia, she is AVP of Events for the Applied Analytics Club, helping manage the events of the Club. She is passionate about mentorship, education, and community-building, and enjoys traveling, tennis, food, and basketball.


Chloe Pupaiboon
AVP of Marketing
Chloe Pupaiboon is a Master’s student in Applied Analytics at Columbia University and currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Marketing for the Applied Analytics Club. She graduated from Boston University with a degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance. Prior to graduate school, she worked for three years at Neuberger Berman as a Treasury Analyst, where she leveraged data to optimize cash flow forecasting and portfolio liquidity strategies. In her role with the club, Chloe aims to use data-driven storytelling and engagement strategies to strengthen member involvement and promote events. She is passionate about community building, content creation, and matcha—often organizing matcha meetups around the city and sharing her creations online. When she’s not analyzing data or crafting campaigns, she enjoys spending quality time with her dog.
Anagha Sridhar
AVP of Marketing
Anagha is currently pursuing her Master’s in Applied Analytics at Columbia University, specializing in machine learning and data visualization. Originally from India, she completed her undergraduate studies majoring in Data Science, after which she worked as a Data Scientist in the telecommunications industry.
As the Assistant Vice President of Marketing, she is excited to broaden her leadership skills and drive data-informed marketing initiatives to boost the engagement of the club. Outside of academics and professional pursuits, she enjoys going on hikes, playing badminton and occasionally going for a swim!

Yilin (Stephanie) Xiao
Yilin (Stephanie) Xiao earned her B.S. in Business Economics from the University of California, San Diego. She has extensive experience in consulting, finance, asset management, marketing, and project management, as well as working for a startup. She displayed exceptional ability in organizing numerous business and networking events, drawing on her significant leadership experience as president of student organizations and a professional fraternity. Yilin spends her free time playing golf, dancing, traveling, and exploring new restaurants, which reflects her passion for both professional development and personal experiences.
Samantha Yung
AVP of Advertising
Before beginning her degree in Applied Analytics at Columbia University, Samantha completed her undergraduate degree at NYU in Media, Culture, Communications, with a double major in History. Although a newbie in the industry, she has almost 3 years of work experience in public relations and corporate communications, Samantha hopes to bring a more interdisciplinary practice into data analysis. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places to eat and playing volleyball.


Minkyung Kim (Ginny)
AVP of Techonology
Minkyung holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Economics from Korea and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. She has one year of experience as a data analyst at Samsung Electronics America, where she focused on leveraging data to support business operations and decision-making. She also worked as a consulting associate, contributing to strategic projects across industries. She is passionate about turning ideas into meaningful outcomes and bridging the gap between business insight and practical impact. Outside of her academic and professional life, she’s an avid traveler, coffee lover, and foodie—spending weekends exploring new cafes or doing self nail art as a creative outlet.
Yaritza Soto (Yari)
AVP of Technology
Yaritza (Yari), graduated from undergrad within three years from Stony Brook University, holding a degree in Psychology with heavy emphasis on medical, psychological and anthropological research. Since then, she’s attained an MBA specializing in Finance, has consulted for Denmark’s largest sustainable aviation fuel distributor, and is currently attending Columbia University for Applied Analytics focusing on emerging technology and artificial intelligence. Her dedication for storytelling, data analysis, coding, and research stems from gaining innovating insights from across a wide range of industry sectors. Currently as AVP of Technology with pervious knowledge in Python and R-Code, she also manages the club’s website, enjoys surfing, running, concerts, traveling, and spending time with friends! Tanya Singh
AVP of Alumni Relations
Tanya Singh is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. Her academic journey has taken her from India to California, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from California State University, Sacramento, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and now to New York City. At Columbia, she actively contributes to campus life as an Academic Tutor, an International Peer Mentor, and the Marketing Head of the Product Management Club. These roles have enriched her experience, allowing her to grow both personally and professionally while engaging with a diverse and vibrant community. Outside of her academic pursuits, Tanya enjoys exploring the city, discovering new restaurants, and unwinding at Dodge Gym.
